Formed in 1989, the Sooke Community Choir is a non-profit organization which serves Sooke and surrounding communities with choral entertainment, music and fellowship. Our choir has up to 60 members who enjoy performing a variety of music that includes popular, spirituals, folk, traditional, and seasonal pieces. We put on two major productions each year – in May and December. We also sing at community events and for smaller gatherings to provide a service to our community.

Sooke Community Choir during the COVID Pandemic - Update

Based on the ongoing COVID pandemic and the current BC Public Health Restrictions, the Board had decided that there was no way to have a Winter Session for the 2021/2022 Season without placing the health of Choir members and the general public at risk.  As vaccination levels in BC continue to improve and the Public Health Restrictions adjust, the Board is hoping we will be able to plan for a Spring Session of rehearsals and concerts in 2022.   In the meantime, the Board is actively working on some other options to assist the Choir in reconnecting and finding other possible avenues to sing, until we can all sing together indoors once again.
